CLART® SeptiBac+ allows, directly from blood culture, multiple detection of Gram+ bacteria and fungi causing sepsis . Diagnostics time reduction compared to the traditional methods, may lead to  a quick and effective antibiotic therapy patient management  as well as health cost reduction caused by the patient prolonged hospital stay.

CLART® SeptiBac+ detects the presence of mecA resistance gene, which confers Staphylococcus resistance to Methicillin. Besides, it allows to accelerate the diagnosis of some microorganisms that grow slowlyer in blood culture, like Clostridium.

As the rest of the CLART® product range, this new system offers the highest quality requirements, including the internal controls to avoid false positives and negatives ensuring samples and results traceability obtained by an automatic way in the CAR reader.
