CLART® SeptiBac

CLART® SeptiBac is an in vitro diagnostic product for the detection and typing of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and fungi causing septicemia. Detection is performed simultaneously by multiplex PCR and subsequent visualization on low density arrays using CLART® Technology.

CLART® SeptiBac detects Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and fungi causing septicemia from positive blood cultures. This results in a reduction of the overall diagnostic time, in many cases more than 24 hours, allowing the physician to make the appropriate adjustments in the medication and/or therapy administered to each patient.

In addition, CLART® SeptiBac is able to detect methicillin resistance markers “mecA “in Staphylococcus bacteria. Staphylococcus.
